Our Mission

ODETTA exhibits artists' works who have honed their craft and their vision in new genre, shared gallery spaces. Special interest is given to contemporary painting, sculpture, glyphs, music, Color Field, Buddha Mind, Minimalism, playfulness and encyclopedic obsessiveness.

The gallery is dedicated to presenting artists whose work demonstrates mastery, vision, and an unwavering commitment to their practice — from Color Field and Minimalism to experimental and interdisciplinary forms.

ODETTA operates as a shared gallery space, bringing together mid-career and established artists in dialogue with one another and with the broader contemporary art world.

Ellen Hackl Fagan

Ellen Hackl Fagan is an artist and curator whose practice spans painting, installation, and curatorial work. As the director of ODETTA Gallery, she brings a distinctive vision to contemporary art — one that embraces Color Field painting, Minimalism, Buddha Mind, and the full spectrum of experimental artistic practice.

Her curatorial approach champions mid-career and established artists who have honed their craft, creating a space for rigorous, intellectually engaged art that challenges and inspires.

Fagan's own artistic practice is deeply informed by her curatorial work, and vice versa — each enriching the other in an ongoing dialogue between making and presenting art.
