Fever Songs

November 6 – December 12, 2019

Ellen Hackl Fagan, John Morton, Maria Scarpini · BronxArtSpace

John Morton is bringing his newest version of Fever Songs to Bronx Art Space, November 6 – December 12, 2019. Morton has re-fashioned the interactive experience with improved technology, using a lidar sensor to track movement and trigger sounds as viewers walk through the space.

This exciting sonic environment melds technology, painting, song, local culture, and the interactive experience. This is the third production of Fever Songs that Ellen Hackl Fagan and John Morton have collaborated on. First, Fever Songs debuted at ODETTA in Brooklyn, then traveled to the Morris Museum in Morristown, New Jersey, and is now coming to Bronx Art Space.

At BAS, Bronx artist Maria Scarpini and her monotypes and Ellen Hackl Fagan's paintings are in concert with John Morton's sound installation.

BronxArtSpace · 305 East 140th Street #1A · Bronx, NY 10454. Gallery Hours: W–F 12–6:30 pm, Sat 12–5 pm. Artist's Talk: Sunday, November 24, 3–5 pm, moderated by composer Jed Distler.
